Not too much to report, installed a new (old) Pioneer headunit with USB for the iPhone. I will probably replace it with a nicer one with bluetooth before I get a modifry harness. Picked up some other sound equipment for free, so that is probably next to go in. Large JBL Amp with 7 channels so I can run door speakers and a sub off of it. It's the GT0755.6II so it's going to be tough to fit somewhere but for free I can't resist. And a pair of Boston Acoustics 50/150 SC65's with a built in tweeters. I'll probably do a custom mount. Also going to be custom fitting some fog lights in the fake ducts and maybe an AP2 console.

Amp came in. Doing a full amp/speakers etc install. I am still speccing out the subwoofer right now. My goal is ZERO impact on trunk or cabin space. If I pull it off, any interest in a DIY on a custom box etc?

I think I read some folks have stuffed larger 4 channel amps over the gas tank next to the spare tire. It's a tight squeeze but I'm not a fan of ditching the spare. If you can build a footwell type sub out of fiberglass or somewhere else that doesn't take up space I'd surely be interested.

This amp is roughly 8.1x10" and I do plan on installing in the gas tank area. It's 4 channel and should be plenty to power the system. I don't want to ditch a spare because they have saved me once or twice before. I am going to keep the trunk area complete. I'll see what I can work with, I have some basic specs measured. Amp and all goes in this weekend, then I prototype the box in cardboard next week. I'll post a thread in the electronics section with pictures!

So this past weekend we got the AMP/Head Unit and Door speakers installed. The amp slid into the Gas Tank area perfectly. So far 0 impact on cabin or trunk space. AMP is 500 W by 4 Channels. If anyone needs a link let me know. Currently fabbing a prototype sub box.

I'm going to attempt to build a box that fits in the trunkwell. Instead of sitting on the tools, I removed those and just placed them in the spare tire. Fits fine. Now to make a super slim box. I'm cutting cardboard this week to try and fit it.
