Default New S2K to the area, Silver Spring

What up?
I'm new to the area and would like to go where the cars are at. I hear its Barnes & Noble, Rockville area. how ofter do ya'll meet and whats involved? How many S2ks in the area? Mine is stock as of today, with the exception of a new system (MBQuarts)amp and an Alpine Nav, but am looking for ideas for performance modifications. Would like to see and talk to some S2k owners with Supperchargers. Let me know who's out there.

Welcome! I haven't met with other owners yet, but am hoping to at some point. I'm also considering putting an SC on, maybe some other stuff too. You have any pictures of your system install? Where did you put the nav screen?

B&N is quite the hangout...though mostly in the warmer months. Pretty much any night in the summer you can find every high school kid with a Civic in the area there Mostly posing, but occasionally a good group shows up and there are some intereting cars. Other times you can laugh at the ricers. The more "mature" (I use that word lightly) often end up at Hooters right down the street.

No pictures, yet. I got the Nav in Dallas, and it was put in a Blk/Blk 2001 S2000. I traded the 2001 in on a Silv/Blk 2002 with glass window (Why the plastic in the first place?) here in Maryland. The Car Stereo Store of Dallas, AWESOME work, installed it originally. DC car Stereo just transplanted it into the new s2k without changing a thing, good work also.

Oh, I forgot to tell you where the Nav screen is located. It is on a custom bracket that slides under the console for the AC knods etc., and sits there just right of the AC console at a slight angle towrds the driver. Screen is black, Brackets black cann't see it anyways and the cord is black also and goes straight over to where the bracket goes in and tucks under there as well, pretty darn clean installation without having to cut or modify the dash. Looks awesome at night with the top down.

WELCOME!

If you can find the time on Dec 12th at 7:30pm, come on out to our Jim Coleman Honda S2000 Clinic and meet a lot of the local owners. Show us that Nav of yours. Hope to see you there.
