New Top!
As some of you may know, Criswell Honda has been very good to me. They went to bat with AHM to help me get my top replaced (Honda offered to goodwill parts if I covered labor) and have done amazing things with dings and dents.
Well, as we went off on our honeymoon, Criswell got the parts and my father was good enough to take the car over while we were gone. Top replaced without problem (including window! looks fabulous!) and SERIOUS door ding (driver side rear quarter on the trim line) banged out like new. Turns out that somewhere along the way, they decided to cover the labor on the top job, as well.
Wow! That kicks butt!

Thanks so much to the whole crew over there.
So, cruising around today (first day back from honeymoon, new top, feeling good) I got a little stupid and ended up curbing my right rear wheel. Wouldn't have been that big of a problem except for the fact that a storm drain was right there... One with the metal edge along the curbline... and the front edge of that hunk of metal is not so flush.
So what would have been a happy little bit of curb rash ended up like this:
Luckily I've got the winter combo ready to mount up, so I'm off to put the fronts on. Someone was able to bring me the pair of rears. Ugh. At least I can not worry about it until next season...

thanks guys. i'm sure someone's got an extra rear wheel lying around, right?
I've got my scratched-to-hell one from my suspension falling apart that I promised to Skip at some point in the past... I guess it'd be a safe wheel to use.
I just couldn't believe the SOUND that this made... I was like WTF?!!!?? Then when we went to see where it happened, there was nothing - no scrapes on a curb or anything, I just hit it perfectly, I guess. The top edge of the metal piece looked fresh and rounded a bit, but damn what luck.

Sorry to hear that all of the good events and news had to be messed up by this problem
At least you don't have to worry about it for a while until next season... I'm sure you'll be able to find a stock wheel by then... Who knows...maybe this is a sign to upgrade
