Default New Verizon Phone

I was in the Verizon store today to do my "new every 2" promotion thing. The guy suggested I wait because a new Motorola phone is coming out this Friday in the same price range (between 100 and 150). Anyone know what phone this could be? I'm trying to decide between it and the LG VX6100. Any help would be appreciated...

Don't know anything about the new Motorola model, but I traded in my old reliable Star Tac for an LG VX4500 with Verizon last summer and have regretted it ever since. The LG drops calls like crazy and I can't even get a signal with it in places where my old phone worked fine. I just don't think the LG phones have Motorola quality yet.

I've had a Samsung SCH-a530 for nearly a year now and it's been excellent. The newer Samsung model w/ the camera phone is supposed to be even better since it's similar size but with better battery life, more features, and also an analog mode.

In May I swapped my old Motorola V60 (dead battery) for a LG VX4400. I should have just bought a new battery for the Motorola - the LG isn't nearly as good as the Motorola!

I have only heard bad things about the LG's. I have a SCH-a530 and LOVE it. Definitely go with a Samsung if you can.

I had the motorolla T720 before and had nothing but problems... It was the second motorola i've owned, and I thought both were trash.

After the Motorola, I switched to the Samsung a530 and I love it... it has a couple of minor programming glitches but the phone is otherwise great.

Yeah I have the T730. I called today to find out what the model # is for the one they are releasing on Friday. It's the "Motorola 6100" according to the girl I spoke with. Wasn't able to find any info on the Internet about it. Anyone know anything about this phone? I know its a camera phone w/speakerphone and slimmer than the 720/730.

WOW... i believe this is my topic.

i can not comment about what "new" phone is coming out, but you might want to wait. I konw Motorola is releasing three new phones very soon.

As far as phone brand. It is weird, but internally, Verizon loves LG. they have worked so much better than Motorola. every motorola phone since the star tac sucks. nothing but problems. All LG phones function very well for us. now, the lg4500 is only a digital phone, so papalegate, if you live in an area that has poor digital signal, that might cause the problem.

Samsung has been pretty decent for us. I personally hated the 530, but people liked it. I can tell you this, if you have a phone that gives you bad reception, please, take it back. They will replace it.

Baggs, Verizon does not have a motorola 6100. a LG 6100 is being released and that phone is great. it is a camera phone, replacing the lg6000, which became the #1 selling camera phone anywhere.

Time to revive this thread. My phone has been crapping out on me (speaker only works about 1/3 of the time whether sending or receiving calls). I have Verizon and I need to replace it.

I don't really care about a camera. Tri-mode would be nice, but I could live with digital-only. Suggestions?
