These are just my "winter wheels".

This was all a "testing" thing. I was going to do my RE-30's like this, but decided against it. Didn't want to potentially ruin a perfectly good set of Volks. I got these AP2's cheap enough, if I didn't like it, so what.
i'm sure if you did the color on some larger wheels it'd come out great. it looks like a quality PC job and the color really is nice. i think it'd be nice on the re30s. once you PC wheels are they really ruined if you don't like it? can't you easily PC over an existing coat? or strip off the old coat?

i absolute LOVE those lugs. but i'm 99% sure that in your friend's case it was driver error. forgetting to properly torque all lugnuts is a common mistake. i find it very hard to believe that there was some defect in the lugs themselves that could cause them to come loose while driving, unless they were improperly torqued, or they weren't the right pitch.

using conical/tapered nuts on the ball/radius wheel is a no-no...

What needs to be repaired?
wheels seem like they need to be rebuilt. they dont get balanced properly anymore. they were made in 94 so that might have something to do with it... but i love them and would like to refinish them
