UPDATE!! 3/26/04

Here's the list of people interested in caravaning down to Nellsyford. Looks like the agreement is to meet at 8 a.m. Sun morning at Tysons Galleria on the upper level of the garage off International Drive. In front of Maggiano's/Macy's.

Just a reminder that the police will probably be out in force, so this will not be a very fast trip down. A group of us will definitely attract attention. If anyone wants to break off and take your chances alone, feel free.

The route is 66W to 29S to right on Route 6 to right on Route 151 to Rockfish Valley Ruritan Park, 0.4 miles up on the left. Route 29S from Charlottesville is a nicer ride than getting off on 264. It takes about 20 minutes longer but well worth the extra time, IMO.

 

I'd vote for Tysons meet since this would be easy for MD folk to find. Have to take it easy on 66 since that place is a speedtrap from hell.

 

i vote for tysons if i go, not sure if im going or not its either go to march meltdown or the dgtrials drift event this weekend for me

I am tenative on going at the moment because I'm unsure if my girlfriend has to work or not yet. But if she doesn't then Tyson's would be best for me

I am still tentative, but fairly sure I will be going. MsPerky if you want to drive down from Arlington together I can meet you around Ballston.

What are the exact locations and times?
Ballston Mall (by the Chevy/Mazda dealer?) by no later than 8:00 am (so meet around 7:45-7:50 am?)
Tyson's Galleria (I or II?) by no later than 8:30 am (so meet around 8:15'ish am.

I'm thinking that somewhere on Route 7 between the Beltway and 66 would be ideal to meet. That way people can come from the Beltway and get off at the Route 7 East exit. Or come out 66 and get off at the Route 7 West exit. Meet in the middle. There is a small shopping center right on Route 7 near 66. I'll find out the name.
