Huh, I was close by there Sat mid-morning, shopping at Food Lion (a.k.a Grub Cat) at Rt. 55/15. (Top was up.) Yes, I can fit 10 plastic groceries bag in the trunk with boot cover, riding hat, CA duster and emergency kit!

Cheers,
Diane

I was there again today and saw the car again. It was a Silverstone parked at the Broadrun Grocery on 55...

One of the installation technitions at Tweeter in Manassas owns a black MY05. Saw it when I stopped in to discuss my XM radio options.

Cheers,

spotted: gpw ap2 cruising down 66w and got off on 495n around 330am last night.

someone say tweeter? so i would assume they know what they're doing with an s2k? i took my civic to them for a high-dollar alarm install and they botched it pretty well so i'm hesitant to take the S for a stereo install. anyone have work done there?

edit: ah you said manassas. i went to fairfax. i'm also considering sound solutions (chantilly), myer emco (sterling), and sam's stereo (leesburg). thought?

if you're going to install XM, why not just order it from a Honda dealer? Do a Google search for S2000 Accessories and you'll find a couple of dealers who sell below retail. Buy the Honda XM add-on and let a Honda dealer install it...that way it's covered under warranty, it's installed to mate to all the factory cables and if there's a problem the dealer will have the parts to fix it.

There's another thread on the Honda XM system, which I have. Unfortunately it requires the trunk be cut, which I don't want to do to my LEASED car. I went to Tweeter because 1) their installation price is much cheaper than the dealership, and 2) I knew they would take the radio apart to determine what other antenna options I might have (as it turns out, NONE).

If one of the installation guys is an S owner, I think it would be safe to assume he might know how to handle audio installations in the car.

In my household we've used both Sound Solutions and Sam's Stereo. IMO Sound Solutions had more of an attitude than Sam's Stereo, and I'm pretty keen on customer-friendliness. In fact we're STILL waiting for SS to finish the trunk box on our RX-7, which had its initial system install several MONTHS ago!

(I don't know what it is about car audio places, the employees always seem to have a chip on their shoulders...or is it just me?)

Still debating what I'll do with the XM situation...

Cheers,
Diane

True enough it does require a hole be drilled in the trunk for the antenna and you might want to think twice about that with a lease...but you could also go back to the lease company and ask about adding it to the vehicle. In the long run, it adds value to the vehicle. (a bit anyway).
