Default o2 sensors?

so iv popped a code for running rich awhile ago. i keep getting what seems like it is a fuel cut out every once in awhile at random speeds and random rpm's. along with that, when im going oh say, under 30, and holding it there, it will start to jerk on me. almost like it is convulsing. usually around 20 mph.

I have a PRM intake, skunk2 70mm throttle body, dc headers, and a invidia 70mm test pipe w/o the bung. it was dyno'd before i bought the car with all that besides the intake and TB.

so my question is, should i just get it tuned, or up and buy new o2 sensors and then get it tuned?

any help would be appreciated. oh and, where is the best place to buy o2 sensors? i found some on some sites, but they dont say which one they are, primary or secondary.

thanks a million everyone.

tim

You should also search on here for "map whack" or look to replace your map sensor

I have two O2 sensors, I believe one of each, that I found when I was packing things up yesterday. They are not brand new, but damn near. Still have the shipping box for one. Also have used coil packs (replaced them only because I was trying to track down a problem).

Like Evan said, try the MAP sensor whack first. Also, seems simplistic, but check your air filter.

Btw, how did you plan to get your S tuned? Do you have a stand-alone ecu?

i had a similar issue before when I first bought my car. i know what you mean by the "jerk" feeling. I had no Vtec before. Everytime I hit vtec, the fuel cuts out and it would jerk. After doing lots of research and playing around, we found out that the ECU was wired incorrectly. Previous owner did a horrible job on this car :/ You might want to check that out.
