Just looked up the bluebook for my 00 s2k.....$10,400.

Looks like no new car for a couple more months.....

Just wreck it....lol insurance gave me $16k on my 00 with 68k miles on it last week

From what they told me they look at other cars in your area with around the same mileage and whatnot then determine.

I'm not sure but I think insurance companies may use the NADA value as a basis.
I dont know how many miles are on your 2000 but you might find slightly better news there. http://www.nadaguides.com
