Default One more S2000 into a curb

####ing hell...

You know the story.

It was raining, I accelerated away from a light to turn left, and lost the rear end on the 1-2 shift, and wiped out onto the median.

Came to rest perpendicular to the left two lanes of a four lane road, and got out to survey the damage.

Both rear tires flat, and partially off the rims.

Damage to the body below the driver's door from sliding up onto the curb.

No other apparent damage.

Took both rear wheels off, got new tires mounted, and drove home feeling very humbled...

No apparent problems with the car. It drives straight, shifts fine, no weird noises, alignment doesn't seem to be off (miraculously), and other than the damage below the driver's door, nothing seems to be messed up. The rear wheels don't even have a scratch on them. It was a low curb, and seems to have only caught the tires.

You'd probably be the first to have done it and not bend some control arms or worse. Be thankful!

the rear alignment can be waaay off and you'll never know from driving it. I spun out into a curb when I first got my s. I thought everything was ok til about 2 weeks later. I was eating up my rear tires, ended up having to replace rear hubs and spindles, and I didn't even hit hard enough to flatten the tires. But i'm glad things didn't turn out worse and all you needed was some rear tires.

not sure how the bill for the body work will look though. depending on how bad it is they might decide to cut out the whole panel and weld in a new one. be happy it's only this much damage
