It only gets worse....
Since there was only 4 Monaco Blue Metallic NSX's built in 2001 and shipped to the United States, it's pretty easy to keep track of my old car. Since to this day I still miss it, I like to see how she's doing.
Different people certainly have different taste. Mind you when I purchased this vehicle I was the third owner. The first was a company vehicle, driven only 3k miles. The second owner, private owner had the car 11k miles and then sold it. Then on to me, purchased the car at 14,202 miles and sold it at 24k miles.
The car during my ownership :

I then sold the car to an eye doctor in Raleigh, NC.
During his ownership :

Donathan, then due to some other financial obligations ended up selling the car. He said he sold it to this guy, but this guy states he bought it at a dealership.
During the next owners ownership :

this guy, apparently traded it for a Lamborghini.
I'll admit, I'd rather have the NSX. But in this form, I'd probably go for a Lambo too.

That car was the heat when you had it. It has gone down hill since then. I would still drive it, It would not take me long to have it looking good agian. It just goes to show you, money does not buy good style and taste.
Bought it for $52,500 - sold it for $51,500.
Donathan sold it for $45k. It was up for it's timing belt / water pump replacement, the traction control light would occasionally click on and cut power, and felt the clutch slipping - so he let it go cheap.
The new owner, who I believe didn't replace any of this was asking $49,500.

Regarding financing an NSX - yes it isn't simple at all.
Most banks will only do a traditional used car auto loan on something 7 years or newer. This car was sold new, if my memory serves me correctly in Dec 00' - so the latest I could purchase it was Dec 06'.
The rates that were available at that time, based on 72 months was 6.5% - 11.5% with NFCU based on your credit.
If you purchase something older than 7 years old the loans are limited to 60 months with rates ranging from 10.5% to 16.5%.
I financed $48,299 ($299 for Gap Insurance) at 6.75% for 72 months for $817/month.
