Default Plans for the Dragon

Wake the Dragon is just a few weeks away. Who is planning what as far as the Dragon is concerned.

I've been talking about it a bit lately with Pointy, GOGOGO, Chix Rule, and dave22 a bit lately, but it seems like we still havent come up with a final plan yet.. who's staying in who's room, when we're leaving for Dragon, when we're planning to come back, who's car my little chair will fit in, etc etc etc

So far I know that I have Thursday the 21st through Monday the 25th off & I have offered Dave to ride up there with me. Original room plans were to room with Mark, but i guess it all depends on when he is going up.

So whats everyone else planning?

I'm working that weekend. Also, the 23 & 24th are the first two nights of Passover. Sorry I'm going to miss this one

The first issue is who has room reservations and who wants a roommate?

These are the people who have rooms that I know of:

Poindexter - probably needs a new roommate
dave22
tenblade2001
GOGOGO - Black Nugget & _______
w1ngman

I'll be leaving Wednesday the 20th to head down (time not yet determined).

Good idea on starting this thread - seems like everytime we're all in one place we forget to figure this out

alex..you might want to check with the room situation..i think the rooms might be sold out, but there are nearby hotels that have pretty good deals as well.

Crap. I haven't booked my room yet either. And I'm planning on going with my girlfriend so I won't be rooming with any of you.

Wow! I musta pissed everyone off at Mod Day ...Taska & I don't count huh?

Well, we'll be leaving Thursday morning (as bright-n-early as we might go). Travelling down 81S from Richmond, and then the rest of the "normal" highways folks trek east-to-west. Not planning on gunning it to get there. But we are planning on hitting The Dragon at least once as we arrive in town...and *then* hit the motel. I want to offer Taska a no-pressure introduction to these unique twisties prior to her having to munch on Dramamine all weekend .

We've had our motel reservations planned (Thurs - Sat w/ checkout Sunday morning) since Raul first posted the dates .

I don't know about ya'll...but my calendar ain't studdering one bit! Days are flying with way too much to do and too little time to do it. It won't be long now! See everyone on The Dragon!

PS. Some of the folks mentioned above still don't have a PAID next to their name on the WTD thread. I sure hope no Mid-A'rs are planning on stiffin' our southern brutha Raul . Git your $$$ registration in if you ain't yet -- and make airgate's job organizing this event just a little easier . Thanks

Well, right now I am in a little bit of a toss-up as to what time I want to leave. My rooming plans are to stay with Mark (GOGOGO) Friday & Saturday Night. But i think I might try to leave a little bit early and room with Alex on Thursday Night.
Wingy, i'm not 100% certain on my plans as of yet. But if i do decide to do so, would you mind if i meet up with Taska & yourself on Thursday morning and caravan it down to the Dragon?

No problem at all. Just don't make me go waiting on ya! . On the flip-side, once I'm rollin' I really have no intentions on being paid a visit by the 5-0 as a result of stupidity on my part. So I'll probably be running with traffic...up to 10 over or so (okay ...with lil' tiny burst of speed once in a while when it seems safe ). But seriously...I'm not looking to set the cruise on 100mph .

Thats understandable, i'm not really planning to go crazy fast on the way there either. Rather take my time, enjoy the road & the drive. However.. when the fun little spurts kick in, i do have the passport 8500 for a little extra safety

the ohio crew did that last year. for dbr and wtd.. we talked about it this time around and have decided that we are going to either have to agree to keep it under triple digits, OR, split up in different groups... 20+ cars heading down one road attracts a lot more attention than we'd like...

looking forward to meeting a bunch of you guys
