Default please help! emission problem...

Code: P0497 (EVAP System Low Purge Flow)

AP2 05 NFR

I got this a few days ago. Anybody had a similar problem?

I've tried to look for those loose hoses or cracks on the canister..and everything else in between, i can't seem to find the problem.. I'm stuck! My CEL is on.

What should i do? what part/s should I fix/replace to fix the problem?? where would that be located?

any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Usually (i have never done a S2K, but with most other cars) a low flow code is due to the EVAP Purge Solenoid sticking closed.

Thanks Lou.

OP: EVAP codes are some of the harder codes to diag. You may want to find a shop manual to read before you start replacing parts. Then you can test them first and know for sure that you solved the problem and didn't waste money on parts that worked as they should.
