I don't think anyone wants me to raft with them anymore. My skillz arent up to par

















but I'd be down for either one. Preferably the upper ones.

On a serious note, the Upper Yough is Class V. Class V rapid tours do come with an experienced guide. That does not mean it is easy. It is continuous labor throughout the section(s) and should not be attempted by those that a) are afraid of leaving a raft and b) do not accept the responsibility of giving 100% effort to the rest of the crew.

That said, I want to do Class V water. It would be awesome to be able to talk about the experience afterwards with folks that I know.

Don't get me wrong, the Lower can be challenging as you have no guide, but the water level needs to be relatively high to accomplish that. Always pray for torrential downpours or scheduled dam releases the night before.
