Default Recommended All Season Tires?

Hello again,

I feel like a chump for asking so many questions lately, and I apologize, but I'm still new to the whole S2K owning experience and I'd rather get information that's good and knowledgable, so take my barrage of questions as a compliment.

What are some good all seasonal tires for the S2K? I'm looking to replace my back two tries with the winter months coming up, and I'm not sure which ones to go with. Thanks a lot.

i currently have Falken ZE-512's on my car. i honestly don't have much to compare to but i didn't have any problems in the snow last year with these tires and they're good in wet conditions. So far they've lasted me around 20k miles and still going strong.

You'll find a lot of great info about wheels and tires over in the Wheels and Tires forum here on the site.

I got my S2000 last summer and I have been thru 1 winter.

My suggestion is winter/snow tires. Most performance all-season tires are only average (or worse) in snow on a basic FWD car. On a car like an S2000 you may find them to be less than acceptable. I would suggest finding a set of used AP1 wheels and buying a set of snow tires.

actually saw a thread and the main FS/T forum. Think the guy wanted $500 for wheels and tires.

Bridgestone came out with a set of All Seasons, I think it's the RE0960 or something like that. Great dry/wet handling so far. This will be its first winter.

avon tech 550 is a good all season I'd use in the fall, winter, spring, but can get a little annoying in the summer when you really want to push the limits.

The people up north in New England and the ultimate source of good information X-Viper swear by Blizzacks.

I found a deal on Dunlop M-2's with OEM wheels for my AP-1. After having the scariest ride of my life on 4 Dec 03 driving in four inches of virgin snow with S-02's. At 8 MPH I could not keep the car pointed where I wanted it to go.

On the other hand, with the Dunlop M-2's mounted all the way around I had the experience of being forced to go down a aisle of a unplowed parking lot on the NJTP in snow so deep that it was scraping the belly pan of my 03 S and never spun a tire.
