I was on the bridge when the Focus blowed all up. I saw a little puff immediately followed by a smokescreen. I knew exactly what had transpired and knew what was about to happen.

It was amazing that no one biffed it... simply amazing.

So they red flagged the track(why?). The cars sit there for a spell and then the track goes to black flag. Well, here come the cars from over at the hook. Only thing I can think of is that the corner working befor ethe bridge never showed the debris flag. Sure 'nuff, here come cars- on line- right in the uncleaned up oil. Drifto-rito! I laugh now because no one mangled their rides, but at the time, I was fuming!
was the focus Dave Lance's? s/c svt?

A time attack event is a competition and people push their cars much harder.

Most HPDE and driver schools dont have that many incidents.
I agree with George. A time attack/time trail event is a lot different than a normal HPDE. I think the biggest difference is the mentality of the drivers.

Agreed, but Saturday was to be an HPDE.
