george, not too late, you can sign up as late as friday for school. hagerman has rental SRF and several places have SM's.

will be at FATT instructing on friday, and doing my novice SCCA specialty work at school sat/sun. get that out of the way now so i can relax on race days..... MARRS 1 is only 38 days away!
err I still need the medical form a new helmet and more money.

Keith, can I crew for the Marrs race?

pete is my crew chief, i think i am allowed a total of three people with no extra charge, so sure, you can come out and lend a hand, be a spotter, sneak over to competitor pit spaces and let air out of their tires and pour things into their fuel cells to give me an edge....

budgets suck, i need money to get a trailer, maybe i need to rent out the 360.....

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the Skid Pad. I'm a bad passenger.

You don't have to do the skid pad.

I had the same reaction the first and only time I did it. I am sorry but driving some boned out 80's Chevy with a 2 second delay in the throttle does nothing for me.

I would like to try it in the dry in my own car though

gee, for a FATT, i would probably need a killer deposit as well as the rental fee.... at least for the street insurance could be used to fix it after a boo-boo.

it is a shame the FSSCA is not back together yet, you could have used that as a school car. having one of the fastest cars in the group is always fun.

am sure i mentioned along the way...

after getting my SCCA novice license after 1 school instead of normal 2 (lots of track time at SP makes it lots easier!) i signed up for the last EMRA sat/sun race at SP last year. in the sun race, 5th place car tried a kamikaze in turn 1 to get past 4th and me in 3rd, took off my right rear corner hitting me when i was at the apex.

over the winter, took all the body panels off to clean things up and replace the twisted corner parts, and pete wanted to go over, rewire some things, get a good look at things so he gets a feel of what is where so he can do good work as chief for the season.

the skid pad is fun! and some groups will let you take your car on there... when I was there with one group i rode in a 911 around the pad... then another guy took his ford dually out there... was funny as hell.
