Default Rotor Turning / Resurfacing

Can anyone recommend a shop that does rotor turning/resurfacing? (NoVA, MD) I've only ever replaced rotors, but these are pretty new so I'd like to avoid that. I let the Subaru sit for 4-5 weeks and after a week of driving I still haven't been able to level out the rusty spots and pad deposit.

Caveat: They're slotted. (They were cheaper than blanks and I didn't intend to track them, I'm not a ricer -- I swear.)

Pretty sure you can not turn slotted rotors. Probably cheaper to just get new blanks than to pay for the service anyway.

You know, that could work. They can't possibly be actually warped.

Haha.. honestly ya if they aren't too bad take a scotch brite pad to them or something if it's just bad rust spots. If it's only 4-5 weeks you probably can resurface them by using your right foot.

Been trying that. I've driven about 10 days on them but the pad deposits aren't wearing down. The pedal pulses pretty badly under braking and we are driving the STi up to the Canadian Grand Prix next weekend. I'd rather not deal with that over road trip to Montreal and back.

I've had slotted rotors turned before at a local parts store (NAPA?). It's been like a decade since I had that set of PowerSlot rotors turned, but they didn't have a problem with it.

I wouldn't try to turn slotted rotors on my machine. I would be afraid that they would tear up my bits, at the least. Replace them & move on.

I need to get a more current avatar.
