Default The S2000 is gone...

Well, I started this weekend with hopes to get an NSX. I ended Saturday vowing never to purchase an Acura product in my lifetime. I have to say that my experience at Radley Acura was the worst car buying experience of my life. Not only did they not honor the price I was quoted, but they told me the warranty that was included in the quote was actually going to be $4,000 more. Then when they ran my credit...magically the car price climbed even more....

Bad experience...

So now that the NSX was not going to be my choice, I decided that I wouldn't honor Honda with any money when the only "Precision Dealership" in Virginia treated me like they did. So I took my money to Infiniti....

'04 G35 Sport Coupe 6MT with all options and Nav System in Twilight Blue.

I don't think I will miss the S2000, but I will miss this community. It was this community that made my ownership of the S2000 as great as it was....not the car. And for that, I want to say Thank you to all of the members of the Mid-A forum. Some I have met, some I haven't...but you are all wonderful people. My only regret is that I wont be able to participate in the group drives anymore...

I hope to keep in touch with you all!

Once again...thank you!

Bryan

Hey man whats up, I bought the Bazooka from you. Sorry about your experiance at Radley, I USED to work there. I was one of the top techs there and I recently moved to work for Chevy Chase Acura in Bethesda, MD. I know what you are talking about though. Trust me they don't treat any of there workers there any better than the customers, hence why I left. My sister is one of the finance managers there though. If I would of known maybe I could of told her to try to help you out. Oh well, guess its too late now. Anyway, have fun with the G35. Glad you got the coupe.

Bryan, you're right. The S2000 by itself is a nifty driving experience, but it is nowhere close to the experience of having many insanely revving mini-monsters carving backroads and then reliving the experience over livations!

Janet and I wish you all the best as you take a partner for life!

Thanks both of you for the well wishes. Still need to get rid of a few things that are left from the S2k but after that, I think I am gonna stay stock for a while and I'll not be carving too many backroads....I'm a grand tourer now.

Sorry about your NSX experience. Posts in your FS thread would have led me to believe you were really looking forward to it. .

Well, that said, you'll enjoy your new G35 . I've met a couple other S2K owners that have either traded in like you or have purchased a G35 as their "daily driver" (grumble, grumble...a G35 as a "DD"...WOW!...wish I had *those* kinda bucks!!! ). Anyway, the G35 is a great car & I'm sure you're gonna enjoy it.

Take care and best of luck to you in all that your future brings

- Dave

nice car Bryan! sorry to hear about the NSX, but of the 'practical' cars you could have chosen I think you picked the best out there for the money...

Thanks again all!

Practical Daily Driver....those are three words I never thought I'd use when referring to a car I own. But with the wedding coming up and the S just not feeling as tight as it once did, I think I made the right decision...

But, like I said before...I'm gonna miss the meets!!! And the other owners!

Congrats on your purchase and sorry to hear about your experience at Radley. I have a friend who works there in Sales but have never heard of this kind of treatment from their dealership.

I was SO sure that you'd be posting about the NSX but maybe your decision is for the better.

Stop by sometime to say and best wishes with the Wedding and years to come with your bride to be.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience with Acura/Honda. The G is certainly a sweet ride and more practical. Twilight Blue? You lucky dog...

And who says you can't go on any of the drives? Back in Sept I showed up to a meet with a 2-week-old G while Keith outdid me (by a longshot) by bringing out his 3-day-old Modena, and we both "tagged along" for the drive; we were enthusiastically welcomed and managed to keep up!

All the best with your upcoming nuptials and new toy!
