S2000 Homecoming Drive
Howdy
Several Mid-A members took up the challenge of driving cross country to the 2010 S2000 Homecoming in Torrence CA. During that drive west, I was running a time lapse camera on the dash (two actually). I just got around to editing the video of us driving west. The total run time on the unedited video is over 90 minutes in length (at 30:1 time lapse). I've edited it down to just under 16 minutes in length.
Enjoy

I was running a Macbook Pro under the drivers seat, connected to two webcams in a custom dash mount. The software I used was called Gawker, and it made it fairly simple. I didn't run a power inverter, I found a DC-DC converter from HyperMac that made the power situation easy and heat free.
It was a bit of a pain setting up and breaking it down each night, but it was fairly worry free during the ride.
And for those wondering, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Driving that car for 14 hours a day wasn't a chore, it was a treat.
Top down + cigar + driving into a sunset = heaven.
