I'm home and using a VPN as well! My gf and I went down Boston Street (in her Maxima) in Canton to get some Dunkin' Donuts this morning and on the way back I saw and older guy standing outside his AP2 Silverstone while some other guy was shoveling him out. Not sure where he thought he'd be going after digging out, but whatever.

VSA helps in snow, but ice, nope. you just cant go anywhere. and it kills the throttle if your wheels are spinning. i found turning it off and 5000rpm clutch dumps just to get going to be the most effective way to get a little momentum.
Since I have Blizzaks, I didn't do the clutch dump. Just let out the clutch like I normally do, and started rocking the S. Took me a few tries, but I managed to get the S out of the parking space. After that, it's just smooth sailing. Only had some problems going up my folks' driveway: unplowed, icy. I had to turn off the VSA when rocking the S. Otherwise it just kept applying brakes to reduce wheel spins and killed momentum I was trying to build.

I always keep VSA on when driving on public roads.

Tried to leave the house to take the girl out for Valentine's Day... yea.. I made it 4 from the driveway that we shoveled. VDOT hasn't seen our road in about 3 years now thanks to budget cuts or something. So, no plowing and no salt = 5 inches of this crap still sitting there.

I hear ya... same with the street I'm on. Also, it doesn't have good drainage, so there's a 6" pool of water on an uphill corner to get out to lee hwy - guessing it will be solid ice by morning.
