Just have to say, you got an INSANE deal when you bought your car, assuming it was in good condition. I got mine around the same time frame, with the same mileage, and there was nothing even close to that cheap for many months while I was looking.

If you trade in the S2K for the likes of a Genesis or LS460, you won't be happy. I don't know how feasible it is for you, but maybe you want to pick up a "beater" for the inner-city parking and commuting duties.
just test drove a Genesis coupe 2.0T and while it was "ok" it would make me unhappy to switch.

Genesis Sedan...

It's all about timing. I remember trading in my MY03 for KBB Excellent on a 'new' 2006 Civic Si. Bobby Rahal wanted it so bad they didn't markup the car like everyone else. I drove the Civic Si for 1800 miles before a NJ dealer contacted me and I sold it for a small profit. They marked it up $5000 the next day, and sold it a few days later. You just have to know from which dealers to buy and from which dealers to sell your cars.

Back in 2009 when I got my current S, Baltimore/DC dealerships were all selling S2000s for at least sticker. I looked up a ranking of the hardest hit economic states and started with dealers in the poorest areas first. It took a weekend and a spreadsheet, but I paid mid $26k for my new S. Sure, I had to fly (for $99) to Tallahassee but drove home a great deal. 99% of dealers laughed at me but I was able to get a few to deal. That's what it is about.

I got really lucky actually... The person that I bought it from was a high school kid, i believe. I think he got in trouble or something with his parent because when we were talking price, seems like his dad was upset and told him to get rid of it. Only problem it had was driver side fender was a bit scratched up and the ecu was not correctly wired in right. The kid probably thought it was some sort of engine problem so he wanted to get rid it asap.
Fixed everything... car is running better than ever now.
