S2000 went off at Summit
the walls make it look like there is less than there is. once you are on track and driving, it does not seem as bad as when you are standing there looking at the course. other tracks have trees all around, just not as imposing as a concrete barrier.
i've done two days the FMoW and 2 with NASA on the course and looking forward to more.

There was a red S2000 that ran a 1:37.7 lap on sunday.......cough...which was faster than any other car at summit this past weekend..... did you see it? Ghetto wing and all.....

I got the following from a Spa owner that some of us know. Based on how fast he was "scooting" around Beaverun at FCT04 and even making a nice pass on the C-6 that was there on Monday's track day, I have no reason to doubt him:His quote from a recent e-mail:
"I was able to lap in the 1:28s last time out at the Point."
" I also cracked a rotor and partially melted the caliper seals, (rebuilt them this weekend, major PITA)"
If your not going straight over that crest under the bridge at shanadoah you are in trouble... hes not the first to wreck there... they were telling me that a corvette was totalled doing almost the same thing...
You are going well over 100 there and over a crest... easily getting a little airborne...
Theres plenty of runoff room where it counts at shanadoah... thats the only problem spot ive heard of.
That really really sucks though, glad they are alright

Matt, the guy you reference is SC'd.
I don't think they allow for Scot to be sc'd and still run in the class he does.
Maybe I should run up to his place and finish rebuilding my calipers as well.

Just for Clarification. I was at the Main Course, Scott was at the Shenadoah course. I believe he is lapping in the 1'23s at the main course. Which is significantly faster then me.
Skip, bring you calipers over, I have it down (I think) we see how they hold up at VIR this week.

(bragging)......
i should be under 1:05 at beaver in my ECHC (East Coast Honda Challege) S2000 (not supercharged, but on Hoosiers and only weighs 2650-2700lbs after the race). I think I ran a 1:06.XX a year ago, but I drove like a little girl.
I ran a 1:37.7 at Shenadoah which was faster than any car there this past weekend
and i have the ECHC record at summit main at 1:23.4XX.

My car was completly stock at beaver... S-02s, stock sizes... my best was 1:13... Jeff from Hardtopguy was in his supercharged NSX and was running around 1:06ish... I need to take some lessons from you if you can make it around there that fast!
