I am really sorry to hear about your loss. Sometimes I feel like it's not even worth having anything nice because I always worry about it getting scratched, dinged, chipped, vandalized or stolen. I had someone jack with my car at work once, but I think the security guard ran them off. There is a certain freedom of having something no one would want! But where's the fun in that?

I am also worried that as the price on the older S2000s falls into a range where more teens/kids can afford them, we will see not only an increase in insurance premiums (more accidents), but also a sharp increase in theft. I hate to say it, but I think we're starting to see the beginning of that trend. I hope I am wrong.

Good luck man..

Thanks for all the kind words guys. They probably wont find it, or it will end up stripped somewhere, or totaled. Thats how it always ends up. But luckily i have gap insurance, so whatever Nationwide doesnt cover, they should. Ill keep yall posted on what happens.

for Gap, if you need it and it works out as intended.

On the one hand, you don't want them to ever find it again, but if they do, you want it to be either a total loss or in perfect condition. Somewhere in between would be no good

Good luck either way, man. Totally sucks.

Thats just it, Matt lives right down the street from me and there is no crime in our area, our police blotter is full of cow-tipping incidents. Im not saying its upscale, but its FAR from sketchy. If I was a betting man I think whomever stole the sol saw this and cased it for awhile. Good luck matt, going euro now?
