Actually, if you have followed the thread, I'm serious about going. PAS2KNut and I have been kicking around a "roundtripper" and this might speed things up. We were looking more at an April/May timeframe, however, things may line up that this may work.

Weather might be an issue. I do not want to just drive straight there and straight back. I'd like to hit the Dragon on the way down and plan the trip such that we spend the night(s) in towns that have some active S owners. Obviously we'd take the southern route. Once there, I'd like to get on a track and then head up PCH to SF and then across to Lake Tahoe/Reno and then back down. weather would dictate the return trip.

Depending on the number of folks making this unforgettable trip(and talked about 'til the cows come home), I'd be willing to bet that some owners might be willing to put us up in one or two towns. And I know I'll be taking miles of video. I'll then have to let someone wade through it all 'cuz I got no skilz, yo!

Plan for two weeks(absolute max). Leave on a Wednesday and stay the night at/near the Dragon. Do the Dragon Thursday morning. Do it again. Head out and drive 'til we're good and tired. Travel plans would have to be flexible, so the next stop could float. I can tell you that we would have to be at to Dallas by Friday night(really not a problem). We could make it to Yuma, AZ in a day(long one) and stay there for free. Yuma is about 3.5 from the meet site. We'd do that run Sunday morning. This would put us there by noon if we left Yuma by 8 am.

well, i'm az atm so i was all pumped to go til i saw that HIN's gonna be in LA on the same day. seeing that i wanted to hit up at least one high profile show before i leave the west coast, it wasn't an easy decision to make.

Tanner- Doesn't that mean you'll have to leave the car overnight Saturday?
