I sell them it seems only reasonable to try one out. But I need to part everything on my car,

Just as an FYI -

I sat in the RX-8 for a substantial amount of time at the NY auto show. I had also been seriously considering a swap - 4 seats are nice and way more practical. BUT - the rear two are virtually useless. They are even worse than those in a Supra - and if you have ever seen those they are horrible. I wasn't happy with the RX-8's driving position probably because I am a fairly big guy. The exterior lines of the car are okay - but the car is kinda bland. BUT - I think it would be absolutely hot with a body kit - kinda like in X2! I was also disappointed with the "throw" of the transmission. It is a lot longer than the S2000 - of course, nothing that a short shift kit can't fix.

All I suggest is - think carefully before you make the switch.

 

Thanks Hiro for your opinion. I understand your thoughts on the RX-8. If its anything like the interior space in the back of my Eclipse then my passengers are in for a bad ride....! Its gonna be a weird transition but as I said before I sell them and I have made a decision based on research that I have done everyday since they started talking about this car. Maybe it might not be like the S and maybe i might get convertable fever but for now Im gonna give it a shot! If it doesnt work out than maybe I am truely ment to drive an S. LOL

 

i heard a little rumor that they will be producing a convertable version in the future....

but that is also along the same lines as the s2000 was only going to be produced one year...
