Seat Question
I've got my08 with sensors under passenger seat. I got a guy wanting to trade his brides for my oem. How can I do this, sorry not a seat guy. I really want to do the swap, but I don't want to lose an airbag in the process.
Thanks again. Flame suit on just in case I'm making ass of myself!

I've been wondering the same thing. Unfortunately everyone I've asked this question too actually races their car and therefore has seats with harnesses and a rollbar and doesn't care that the airbags don't function properly. From what I gather you'd have to remove whatever bladder or weight sensor is in that passenger seat and somehow get it in the bride. Either that or find the right combination or resistors or something that you can plug in and fool the car into thinking all the sensors are still there. Too my knowledge I haven't seen anyone do this yet.
With the driver side you do need to steal the seat position sensor and just zip tie it to the rail for the brides. I did that with my 06 and don't have any lights.

I'm not an expert, but I did try this swap in my 07. If the seats have Bride RO Rails, the 06 and up S2000's use a different rail for the passenger seat. The floorboard/seat mounting points are configured differently than earlier models and it has to clear the extra sensors for the air bag on/off 60 lbs requirement. Also, the passenger side seat belt anchor is mounted on the side. of the seat, not the floor.
Having said that, the recommended Bride Rail does not have a mount for the seat belt anchor and does not have any provisions for mounting the air bag sensors. I have a brand new rail still sitting in the box because it will not work. You are welcome to look at it if you are local.
The Bride RO Seat Rails for the driver's side fit all years. Like Steve said, on the driver's side, just mount the stock location switch in the same place as the factory seat rail and it works fine.
Hope this helps.

^ where u parked at? Lol. Thanks for input so basically driver side no problem. So what kind of rail did u use for passenger side? I'm local in regards to.checking out that seat rail, will it fit drivers side?
I have seen a member on here install an aftermarket seat on an 06+ passenger side, and not have any SRS lights. Like posted above, you have to swap over the sensors, and then get them recalibrated by Honda.

^too much work if you ask me. No one really wants to go through that much trouble. I'm trying to get my car setup for the track and I'm planning on keeping my factory seats so I'll just switch them out as needed. I can live with the light for the day or two spent at the track.
There still has to be an easier way though.

Agreed on the lights on the dash and the function of the airbag. It was my intention to transfer the sensors from the stock passenger seat to the Bride Rail and although this would be somewhat tedious, it is possible. The reason I stopped was the seat belt anchor mounting point is not on the Bride Rails for 06 & newer S2000's. Also, you cannot just get a passenger seat belt assembly from an older S2000 and mount it to the side of the floorboard like a pre-2006 S2000 because that mounting point was eliminated.
The best way I can see to make this work with stock seat belts would be to have a pad welded to the side of the Bride Seat Rail with a hole drilled for the seat belt anchor. I was not willing to do this because Bride Japan advertised this seat rail to fit the 06 & up S2000 without modification. I do not want to turn this into a manufacturer bashing thread, just leave it as Bride Japan's customer service is no help at all - no tech advice, no help, no returns. It's a shame because they do make nice seats.
I did not notice it before but you are in Northern Virginia so that is not really local (3-4 hours?). I am located in Smithfield.
As for the Bride Seats/Rails, I put them in my AP1 with no problems at all.
