Cool She's home!

She's better than she was before. Better, stronger, faster.
As many of you know, I had messed Yume-chan up with a money shift... I got a used engine from eBay that seemed to work well for about two months... when it had burned through all of it's oil and put a rod to knocking.
At that point, unwilling to waste money on another engine with that potential problem, I decided to get the engine rebuilt. After some research and looking around the forums, I decided on using InlinePRO, since they're in the same state so shipping wasn't too bad, and their builds looked really good. And for a bit more than just a rebuild, I could have a stroker kit put in. So I went without for about two months while I was deciding what to do, getting the engine pulled, and waiting for the build to be completed.
Many thanks to C Ory for being awesome and putting the new engine in, along with all the initial diagnosis bit.
Thanks to InlinePRO for building a great motor.
And thanks to Shawn Ramey over at RameyBuilt in Virginia Beach for doing an awesome break-in and tune.
I still have the stock intake and stock exhaust, with a test pipe, upgraded injectors, fuel pump, and better springs and retainers with the original valves.

^____^

The flat torque curve is just incredible! It's like a completely different car, I've fallen in love with her all over again.

Good to see it back up and running! And those numbers look great.

I'm curious though, on the second engine, was the oil level ever checked during the two months? It seems lately on this site a lot of people are destroying rod bearings in AP1 engines due to low oil.

I think it's a 2.4 stroker.

I had checked the oil level as I went and added 2 quarts. When it started knocking, it was apparently 3 quarts shy!
So if it went through 5 quarts of oil in a few thousand miles, I would've been screwed either way. The eBay seller "hondapartsunlimited" was absolutely useless since it was a few weeks past the thirty days. And eBay doesn't let you leave feedback after a certain time.

Rebuilt and stroked out. But yeah, it began life as an AP1.

2.4L It's most of the parts of this motor without the headwork or new valves. InlinePRO f24C

Shawn did a really great job of tuning everything, I'm super impressed! Here shows one of the finishing up runs. ^_^

I took a couple pictures of the motor when it was apart. Once I figure out how to attach them, I will post them.

You can upload them to photobucket and then take the link for the pic and put them into your post.
