Thumbs down Smooth Operator Program dates

I'm sure you're all aware of our area's Smooth Operator program- increased law enforcement on the roads. The first wave of the summer schedule starts this week.

I know we're all safe drivers and never engage in any aggressive driving practices, but as a trafficker of information, here is the 2007 summer schedule:

June 3 - 9, 2007
July 1 - 7, 2007
August 5 - 11, 2007
September 2 - 15, 2007

nice, good lookin out. since my dept. works on police cruisers I normally hear about this too, this is when they really crack down. ticketing for anything and everything. So buckle up too, a seatbelt violation is no longer a secondary offense.

No wonder I saw so many on the roads today. Drive safely, guys!

PS - there's a Safe Speed minivan camera on Nelson Street off of 28 in Rockville, near Hard Times Cafe. Someone else can cross post this in the other thread if they like, I'm too lazy to find it.

Saw a lot of enforcement going on on the drive home tonight. Make sure to drive safe, not only to avoid tickets, but also to avoid accidents. I almost saw two pileups happen due to folks slamming on the brakes once they saw a cruiser, with people right behind them.

big thanks for the heads up. i really noticed a LOT of these guys out on the road. and you can literally see how much more they prowl. not like driving around looking for people breaking the laws, but PROWLING. i can't really describe it. but you know prowling when you see it.
