Default Some help with tires please

Not sure if this is the right place to be asking but here it goes. I need new tires bad like 2 months ago bad. The thing is that I am on a budget from the recent move to the area. So I was wondering if any one from this area has tried out the tires I'm thinking about buying.

225/45ZR17 XL Sumitomo HTR Z III
255/40ZR17 Sumitomo HTR Z III

Like I said I'm on a budget at the moment and I do plan on getting new wheels this summer also, I just need something to get by with. price is $398.22 shipped. Thanks in advance for the info, any would help. and again sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Why not go with all-seasons or winter tires, since you are going to get new tires in the summer. So that way, if you drive your car during these crazy months, you can just switch between tires?

I have those exact tires and sizes in my car, they are cheap and great tires for 3 seasons. Ride quality (quiet, not too harsh) is great too.

For daily driving I heard they last up to 17K miles or even more, but if you autocross it regularly like me then, it will only last 6-7k only.

If you want to go with all seasons, I'd look at the bridgestone RE960AS as well. I bought a second set of wheels used, and put my Dunlop Star Specs summer tires on them. I've been really happy with both, and I think you can get a set of four of either of them shipped for under $500 for AP1 wheels. I'm guessing AP2 sized tires would be a bit more expensive.

I also have the Sumitomos because I needed tires because someone decided to put me into a curb and destroy mine.

I like them a lot. But for a All Season, I loved the Eagle F1 All Seasons. Not sure about price though.
