Default SOVA detailer

Okay guys, I am bout to head out for what now looks like 16-18 months instead of 11. But i want my car to shine once before i go. but i have a lot of cracks in my front lip and rock chips on my hood. Should i get it Detailed? And would it help to have it detailed before i put it in storage? If the answer is yes, then whom should i contact about a full detail. Even a little engine bay action. I am going to need pictures of my baby while i am gone so that i remember the good times. HAHA.

Oh and about how much does a pro detail cost?

A real detail will be in excess of $250, but with the economy the way it is, you may be able to come in just under that price. Just be wary of the level of service you may get. More often than not, you get what you pay for in detailing. Time ain't cheap.

Why do it before? To create a barrier between dust/dirt and your paint/clearcoat. To clean out any food particles or junk that might result in a foul smell upon return. To moisturize the seats before being tucked away. To remove any brake dust that might sit on your wheels for nearly a year-and-a-half. If you did it yourself, it would also give you a chance to fully inspect the vehicle, documenting any and all flaws with notes and pictures in case you need to make a claim upon your return.
