Hope y'all did OK down there. It is really nasty here in DC this morning. Very windy and r---y. Lots of flooding, too. My ex-bf works in Suffolk and said some peeps in his office were affected by the tornado.

I have to drive up through VA and MD to PA to pick up my son from college. I hope the weather won't be too atrocious.

Yea last night was BS!

5 inches of rain fell in my area and the wind was enough that my entire S2K is covered with twigs, leaves and dirt and it's in a 2 car, covered parking area! F'n storms. I barely made it to work this morning after crossing a 3" deep section of road in the beater car. My only alternative route to work was closed due to the river cresting 5' over it's banks and flooding about 3' over the road! Insult to injury I also have a leaking front door and water all over my wood floor and a plugged up septic tank due to unheard of soil saturation on some of the most highly drained soil in the state of VA! Imagine if this precip had been snow! We'd be digging out 10' deep!
