I don't think the crown vic was racing at all... I think it will turn out he was a drunk driver. ..

I do not advocate street racing, but this appears to be media spin. The article says the people were watching a street race... and after those cars went by.. a third car (the crown vic) that had no headlights on is the one who hit the people

Granted, the people wouldnt' have been standing on the highway absent the racing, but the wreck wasn't caused by street racing.

Driver of the crown vic should be charged with Voluntary Manslaughter

"Witnesses said the racing had just ended when a white Ford Crown Victoria with no headlights suddenly veered into a crowd of about 50 people."

At least thats they way it sounds to me... Street racer's both passed... third car hits the crowd. The crowd was likely at the "finish line" since they said the race had just ended. One of the cars in the race would not have been going 50 at the finish line.

I say it was a drunk driver who got freaked out by a big crowd of people standing by an empty highway. Why else would anyone drive with no headlights on? Might have even been following the taillights of one of the other cars and when they started to brake he got freaked out. EIther way, i bet its a drunk driver, not a street racer who killed these people.

If you read the comment section, someone who says they are from that area, says the race had ended and people were gathering from the race. They even suggest police were chasing the white crown vic, another possible reason the headlights were off.

terrible story. the street racers are dumb and so is the guy that drove the crown vic. why would you keep driving through a cloud of smoke if you could not see? just retarded.
all of them should be charged.

i deduced the same thing. it's not the fault of the street racers or people watching the street racing...
