Having receive recent interest posted in a related, resurrected conversion thread, I've decided to start this one offering my Mid-A folks a great summertime corner conversion deal. I'll clear your corners for $100 per car. This is some 'Mid-A-love' as I normally charge $135 per clearing. But I appreciate the economy is tight, and want to make this a mod folks can afford to enjoy! So...$100 per car it is. And that'd be cash thank-you-very-much

For those committed to having me clear their headlamps, please do me a favor and provide the following information. With it, I'll be happy to manage this post with updated information on everyone as things firm up. I'll also manage timeslots for each of you...and will try to arrange them so that someone nearer to me will get scheduled first...folks that have further to drive would of course be scheduled later since they'd typically arrive later, etc....to assure efficient customer service

Please provide the following (either via post or PM):

• Do you need/plan to order anything from Rick's www.ricks2k.com (diffusers, chrome bulb kit, sidemarkers)?
• Do you want to >> Mulderize << your AP1 diffusers? [If so, I'll ship you a 'core swap' set of amber diffusers...you'd do the 'prep/paint'...and bring them along with you for me to swap them out during your conversion]

PS. Some clarifications....

• Rick's Diffusers - If you want to order diffusers from Rick's Signature Accessories, please do so (as a clarification, the limited stock I maintain is reserved for conversion orders shipped to me through Rick's website...sorry, I can't supply diffusers). But they are easy to order and arrive quickly, so please check out this page if you do plan to replace the amber diffusers with one of Rick's offerings: http://www.ricks2k.com/products/diffusers.php Also, if ordering diffusers from his site, only place an order for 'Diffusers Purchase $95'...don't purchase the conversion option from that page as you'll be paying for my services in-person.
  
• Mulderized - If you are a committed participant wanting 'Mulderized' diffusers, send me a PM with your address. I will ship you a nice shiny amber pair of diffusers in advance of our scheduled weekend...so that you can prep/paint them before your scheduled appointment. Then during your conversion, I'll keep the ambers that I remove from your headlamps (as a 'core swap'). I'll ask that you reimburse me for shipping...but that should be well under $5, and you can pay that when you pay me for the conversion.
  
• Nekkid - If you plan to go 'nekkid'...that's fine too. Just lemme know & bring $100 in small, unmarked bills
  
• "IN"...or out... - There are fence-sitters...and there are folks that commit to participate in a planned event such as this. Please understand, I scrub a weekend of other projects to set aside this kinda time. So if by posting an "I'm interested"...and what you really mean to say is, "I'm IN"...then by all means take that leap (don't be shy) and commit shouting "I'm IN!" Be "IN"...or be on the sidelines. I'm sure you understand .
  
• Who the hell is w1ngman??? - For those that haven't met me... I am Rick Hesel's conversion specialist. And about two years ago now I reckon, I stopped trying to keep count on how many headlamps I've converted. But back then...it was over 400 pair. And every customer has been 100% satisfied with my work over the years.
  
• AP2 Owners - Although Rick's only offers diffuser selections for AP1s, please don't consider that to mean that AP2s are to be left out in the cold. I have removed the amber reflectors/diffusers in quite a few AP2s now as well. And with very nice results, as noted in this short >> AP2 testimonial thread <<

HEY DAVE! ok.. i wanna be clear... well.. yes have clear corners lol.. but what i meant was... For my AP2, what do i need to purchase for you to just clear them.. you mean i must order the clear stuff from RICKS2k.com?

so basically the 100 bones is just the service but not the parts... I R confused a lil...

 

If you have an AP2...then I can remove the amber bits & reseal the headlamps for '100 bones'. Rick's offers nothing for AP2s. This was covered in the very last 'PS' item in my original post

I'm def gonna do it.. but like i said, i think its better if i can drop them off to ya during the week and you can get to them when you can within a couple days and that way i dont take up a slot when someone else can have it since i'll be working on the weekends til 3pm now...

Another very custom idea to consider on your headlights is painted inserts. This look may not be for everyone...so this isn't a post for flames . But it is offered to give folks more ideas about truly customizing their S2000 to stand out in a crowd. [something that gets harder & harder to do as more of us gather ]

As September is still off a good bit, provided you could get buy some stock inserts from someone on the boards then you could get a local paint shop to color match the inserts to your car's exterior color. And I'll swap the set during your conversion . In turn, you'd end up with a pair of stock inserts that you could turn around and sell back on the s2ki.com market to a next interested owner.

Again, there is still time...provided you can find some inserts soon . Just a thought.

I think I've finally buttoned up a LED 'halo' solution for our S2000s. At least, I like the look. Installed within the high-beam's parabolic reflective dish, this comes off great!

I'll get some more pics shortly, once I wash The Bruised Banana and re-install the eyelids. When I take them, I'll remember to turn on the HIDs too . What you're seeing around my HIDs are an earlier 'halo' attempt. Pretty enough, but not very visible, and was overwhelmed as soon as the HIDs were turned on.

For the time-being, here are a few pics (in these images, the halo of LEDs look a bit overly bright & out of focus in these photo -- as I'm not using the camera's flash but also not keeping my hand entirely still either ). Looks perfect in-person, however
