Default A Tale of Two Knobs

Man I wish that search feature was working...

What are the differences that you guys know between the two knobs (00-01 OEM and OEM Ti)? I just got a 'OEM Ti' from a guy on the boards and it feels considerably lighter than ones I held in the past. It also has a spun look to it, when all the pictures (ex: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=m...age&img=243899) show it as smooooth.

I just want to make sure its the real thing and not the 00-01 OEM that was not Ti at all. If anyone has specifics and/or pics of either/both that would help, thanks!

the 00-01 OEM Ti is considerably heavier and polished looking than the "standard" OEM brushed aluminum. I have both... hold on for a pic...

I like the heaviness of the Ti, but it gets much hotter in the sun.

sorry for the poor pics...

OEM Aluminum on the left (in my hand) and OEM Ti on the right (on the shifter)

You can notice the Aluminum is brushed and the Ti is a polished finish.

$60 for a used 00-01 Ti I believe is the going rate...

Those last two are 100% brushed aluminum. I can take better pics of mine if you'd like too, but I have no doubt in my mind that that is the OEM Aluminum.

Thanks Evan. The seller has already agreed to a refund so it seems there won't be any problems...

Hey guys, I was debating switching mine too, but im thinking about going the 2002 aluminum with leather look. Does anyone know if it has the same look and feel as 2001 oem? It looks shorter and fatter....I think it would look better with my black interior and I think I like the size better.
