Default Thanks for the advice!

First of all, thanks to all of you in this regional forum. Although I found the advice using the "search" it was still very helpful. I used PTuning to install my new clutch as advised by the members of this board.

Very nice people and I think they did a good job. I had the ACT HD Pressure Plate, Organic Street Disc, and Prolite flywheel installed. Still having a little shudder from take-off but it's been getting better (250 mi into break-in), though I don't think it'll totally go away.

A few quick questions regarding recommended shops (since the PTuning advice turned out well); any suggestions for a top replacement install? I'm looking into buying a kit with a glass window.

Also, any paint shops that'll do a good job repainting the entire vehicle? I just bought my S2000, it's used and the paint is in terrible shape...dozens of small nicks, bad swirls, clearcoat overspray on the headlights, and a MAACO painted front bumper.

btw, I'm in the Arlington VA area.

Top install replacement...my best recommendation isn't a shop at all, but rather Tony (aka moparacker ) a local Mid-A (Hampton Roads / VAB) S2000 owner/member . He did my AP1 upgrade to AP2/glass. I supplied the vinyl replacement top...he installed. Great work, great price .

PS. Welcome!

Probably not as cheap as the above suggestion, but Lim's auto upholstery is a good time and much closer

I think Lim quoted around $1,200 for top replacement w/ glass; labor and parts.

i got my ginormous rip that was done couple weeks ago repaired from there. great guy and great service.

i went w/o appointment the day after the incident because it was suppose to rain over that weekend (and it did), he got me in within an hour of arrival (since he already started working on another customers car), patched it up real well, and got me off within about 40 mins of working on it. and he only charged me 50!!!

i must tell you, the rip that was done, was about 2 lines of 30" or more long right above the driver side.

it aint pretty, but great patch

For paint shop, I go to European Auto Body at Fairfax, VA. They specialize in luxury vehicles. They did a great job on color matching on my last car.
