I know its illegal to not have a front tag and i made the choice to not put one on, so its not that. Its just that this guy went out of his way to chase me down, just so he could try and stick it to me. $60 is not going to kill me, but some of these people running around with badges are a joke.

I got pulled over a while ago speeding on 70... no front plate, luckily the guy didnt say anything.

And actually, I need a little advise
I was near frederick, going 82 in a 65. Cop was nice, and the ticket is only 80 bucks.
I have a clean driving record... Should I fight it, or just pay it? How many points is that... It would be nearly impossible for me to make a court date...
I just hate to see my good record go bye-bye

ALWAYS fight the ticket is my motto. Even if you can get it reduced to a non-moving violation that won't show up on your record or somehow affect your insurance rates.

That's me though.

yeah. go to court. If you're in MD half the time the cop doesn't show up, and if he does, since you have a clean record, just ask for probation before judgement. way better than having points on your liscense.

I agree, fight the ticket. You sound like you haven't had a ticket in a long time (lucky bastard), so you'll probably get a probation before judgement (PBJ).

Go to the DMV and get a copy of your driving record to bring to court. The Judge will already have your record on his computer, but you'll look more prepared and more serious about your situation, thus more likely to get a PBJ.

alright... thanks for all the advise... thanks warren

In my profession they look at my driving record, so I better do what ever I can to get rid of it.

Looks like its time to invest in a valentine 1

Since when did the no front tag fine went up to $60?

Last time a bunch of us, 4 to be exact, got pulled over on 355 outside B&N it cost $50 for this $hit.

That's hilarious... no offense

I have 3 sports cars... not a ONE of them has had a front plate EVER (except when I first bought them for inspection)... 16 years of driving.. no tickets. I dunno how the cop picked you out! Musta been a rookie.

Those no front tag tickets are pretty darn petty. I've gotten a total of 4 tickets for that over the past 5 years so I finally decided to throw one on the S. At least it's one less excuse for them to pull you over on. If you decide to throw one on def go with the ricks front tag holder though. Way cleaner than stock IMO.
