Not bad for a first spin Here's my constructive criticism, so please don't take it the wrong way.

I think it would look better without the color. Even if it's painted, it's gonna be hard to get it clean and consistent without it looking too artsy-craftsy. Is there a way to lightly cut grooves into the surface (not the whole way through) to give the detail around the windshield, lights, wheels, etc? Maybe you'll have to use some thicker metal.

Once the whole thing is done, maybe you can brush it and give it a nice finished look?

The keychain hole is way too big. Maybe just a small hole drilled into the back end would look better.

I think the idea about the top down is good. In my opinion, the top down looks cooler than top up

About how big is that thing? I don't like a bunch of bulky junk on my keyring since I carry my keys in my pants pocket. Anything over a couple inches would be too big for my taste. Just a suggestion (edit: nevermind, I see where you say it's 1 1/4 inches tall)

Anyway, those are just my suggestions and are not meant to be rude. So far, good work. Keep at it and try some different things and see what turns out the best. I can't wait to see your future versions

lol here it goes....

the whole thing is 4" long and 1-1/4" tall.

Im only etching the window/lights/wheels .0040.

the material im using is 1/8 in aluminum. any thicker and it will be to much.

the keychain hole is only 1/8 in diameter.

the finish one will either be poilshed with the etching unpolished or a piece of aluminum will be painted before the etching/cutout.

im cuttin out one with the top down and the ideas 2slow came up with. anything you guys want to add/change tell me since these will be for everyone.

I'd buy one if it was just polished and not painted....and if there is a way you can make a bottle opener out of the front bumber, I might buy a couple

I would buy a S2000 shaped bottle opener.

I don't know what to think about the bottle opener idea, but I'd buy one just because it's an S2000. The only problem is, the aluminum might not be strong enough

Anyway, rev2k, that top-down image looks MUCH cooler

In regards to your response to my comments:

I didn't know you were already etching the lights, wheels, etc. Your idea about painting it before etching might be really cool as long as the paint doesn't chip and result in ragged edges along the etch lines. If you get time, try one out and see how it looks

Good job on the new ring hole That's exactly what I was thinking.

The only other suggestion I can think of for now is to definitely etch some rims and maybe (just maybe) a door, handle, and sidemarker. Of course, it's easy for me to make suggestions...I'm not the one spending time on it

Anyway, nice job! Keep working on it!
