i know i will get killed for saying this.
I think the s2000 is more fun than the e46 m3.
today, I woke up at 3am and travelled to NJ with my lil brother to get his e46 M3. I drove back for about 4 plus hours. The car has tremendous torque and has great handling, but somehow felt a little over weight. I just though how great the s2000 was and all. I am a die hard fanatic of BMW and having hard time admitting the s2000 is more fun.

anyway, the new ride for my lil brother. M3 is a transition car for next three months cuz he will be going away to school in August. So yeah I hope to have fun in that car for few months.

Which do you think is more fun, the E36 or the E46?

I actually enjoyed the feel of the E36 a little better. So shoot me.

e36 felt closer to s2000.
the e46 feels just a bit heavier, but still a fast as hell car.

I like small compact things, the s2000 and the e36 m3s feels more tossable. :-) So i liked it better.

I am sure the new m3 with ssk and clutch stop, some basic mods like coilovers will make it a beast. :-)

My sister has a 00 BMW 323i. I find that the Bimmer's throttle response and transmission (is it called the shiftronic or something I forget?) feels late. But If anything, I'd have to say the Bimmer has some serious cornering and accleration abilities. I was going over 70 on a turn (I usually take it 55or so) in the rain with the Bimmer....impressive stability. Love the DSC.

I drove an '03 M3 6 Speed and I wasn't impressed. I was way more impressed by the Corvette Z06.

My next car will be a Ferrari because I just can't find something I like better than my S2000. And that won't happen for a long-ass time because apparently Ferrari's are expensive! (haha)

Oh, I have a question.

Why is it pronouced "beamer" - but spelled Bimmer? I'm of german descent and I still don't get it.
