I kick myself everyday for throwing out my standard dish and receivers. They would've been great for the trailer. Not HD, but good enough.
I have a non HD reciever... just need a dish. I should be able to find one somewhere for cheap.
im lying in bed, woke up a little early. so Ill give a recap of our first day.
We didnt get out on the track until 11:30 or so, because first session a 911 sprayed oil over the entire track. The guy was very sorry, and embarrassed, especially after 5 cars went spinning off of turn 9... on hit the inside tire wall... Rumor is the guy who spilt the oil told the damaged car to send him the bill...
These are REAL nice people
After spending an hour and a half cleaning it all up we finally got out on track... It was great. Tom, John (toms cousin in a WRX) and me were all in the same group. We ran our 3 sessions without inciedent...
We did have alot of people come up and ask us about our cars...
These guys are fast... I clocked a 1:18 from one 911 (came in a big rig) Lots of nice machinery (GT2, GT3, etc)
My car ran great... Tom is running great (his 245s are working great), John is having a little bit of car trouble, but he seems to have it all inline for today.
Didn't see this before I called Tom this morning. He echoed the same thing as far as results. He added that Cale ran a personal best yesterday. Here's wishing for another safe and fun day.
Im pretty tired because I stayed at the track with the honda challenge crew pretty late, but I wanted to post a couple pictures before I went to bed.
Im uploading some video as well...
It was a great event for me... I did get my personal best... almost 2 seconds faster than I was aiming at this year...
On a bad note, I blew a tire. Im not sure what the cause is, but the tire is in shreds.. its on the sidewall, but different than the other tire problem I had, so Ill investigate that this weekend.
Heres a couple pics... more tomarrow (ill try and get some video up tonight)
I can say thank you enough to Keith... He wasnt running or instructing, but still set up camp for us (his two EZ-Ups and his moterhome, plus good company, advise, helping me with my car after the tire blew, etc)
Tom and his cousin were there too, both ran very well... im sure Tom will chime in tomarrow
