I had a problem getting it in gear when it was cold for a while and my clutch had like no feedback whatsoever and had to push it to the floor to shift. When I swapped my clutch fluid, it came out it was black and there was hardly any in there. Performed great after I did that.

Bad Master or Slave. Check both for leaks. Bleed the system and recheck. If it makes no difference i'd start swapping parts.

I agree - clutch fluid or system issue. Danzilla had a similar problem last year and it was down to clutch fluid level.

The only thing deterring me from saying its a fluid problem is that you say it only happens when you first start the car. If it was a master/slave cylinder problem, it would happen every time.

It sounds more like an internal problem.

That's how mine was, then I changed the fluid and it was fine.

Thanks for all the responses guys!

I checked my clutch fluid today and it was a bit low, so I topped it off. (it was pretty much a little lower then the min level.) We'll see what happens tomorrow morning after I start her up...

I also plan on bleeding the clutch as suggested, within the next week or so, and hopefully that would help solve the problems as well.

I never thought that it could be a fluid problem, but it makes sense, since my engagement point on the clutch seemed to get lower within the last month or two. So perhaps it was from a lack of fluid, or as Matt suggested, air was getting into the system.

Hopefully, the $3 I spent on the fluid fixes the problem!!! LOL

Try pumping the clutch pedal a few times before you even start the car.

It sorta makes sense that in the morning there was a liilttle less pressure, but as you use the clutch it starts building pressure back up.

I recently had to change my clutch master and slave cylinder because of a small leak from the master. Ran it out of fluid and had a lot of air in the system.

you probably wont notice much of a difference until after you bleed the system. If there is air in it already you are not going to alleviate the problem until you bleed it out.

Pulled a lot of transmissions because of bad throwout bearings, have you?
