if your looking for a really GREAT tuner... Brad Brooks at ISP. this guy is VERY well known from MACHV, PTUNING, INLINE PRO, SLOW BOY RACING, EXTREME MOTORSPORTS... people from alllll around go to see this guy to get their car tuned, to have their engines, tranny's diffs, rebuilt. I've known him for years.. he's the one who tuned my s2000 as well when i was turbo. The guy is no joke. VERY very cool... He'll even come to you for a street tune and believe me.. he's very worth it.. he street tunes extremely well and is fair on his prices.

the owner of ISP.. Peter, has a 600+ whp s2k turbo that brad built for him and tuned for him. he's tuned 1200+whp supras and what not as well.. he's very trusted.. and very knowledgeable guy.

you ask him anything and he'll teach you. He likes to help people understand whats really going on.

If your interested.. let me know.. i'll hook you up!

sounds like i might have to make an appointment with ISP. JE Import is building my motor, but I don't want to give them anymore money because they took 1+ month to build it. James told me 1-2 weeks, but I know better than that. So I was expecting 3-3.5 just for good measure, because I know how these things are. But the machine shop took 3+ weeks to machine 4mm off my rods and machine a lip on a crank? Also, he told me that he would keep me posted every step of the way. I didn't call after a month and all I got was the run around for two weeks when I did call. Apparently, they were too busy to care. I'm in too deep, so I am letting them finish the build since they are "almost" done.

Was I being unreasonable? I mean, if they told me it would take a month, I would've gladly waited that long. How am I supposed to know about these things? I don't build 4+ motors a month... I never lost my temper or argued... why would I want to pay them for substandard service? You guys ring in and let me know what you think and about your experiences also.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. I have known James since high school (James and his brother went to school with me, a few grades apart though at the time). Before his shop relocated to where it is presently it used to be right down the road from me and I never heard anything good about his shop. I know for a fact he tuned a buddy of mines Integra with a B18, turbocharged, ended up blowing the motor......Twice. Did not cover the rebuild whatsoever. The first rebuild took about 2 months. The second was almost 4. 6 months is too long. I rebuilt my 4g63 back in the day 3 times, each not taking more than 2 weeks, most of the time was waiting on parts.

James is a good guy, but I think he could treat his customers with a little more respect. After all, they are paying his bills.
