It isn't paid in full - maybe I should have said "contracted on it yesterday". I wouldn't have purchased GAP if I stroked a full check for the car.

Back to the weather: it is nice down here now. A slight breeze, about 73 degrees, a tad overcast - but it looks like it may be a fun driving day tomorrow .......hopefully my plans with Skip will stick.

The flooding was a huge headache for me actually, although I would agree with Alex that sometimes the media blows it out of proportion.

Anyway, this was my first major storm here in my current house as I've lived here only about 13 months. Even though I've lived in VB practically all my life, I never lived where it flooded really badly. But here in the Tallwood area it flooded like a mofo. My wife actually tried to drive out of our neighborhood to go to work this morning, and she hit a puddle so huge (more like a lake) that her car shut off. I was sure the car was hydrolocked. I had to push it in the pouring rain to higher ground, then push it back to our house when the rain stopped and the floodwaters went down. After checking the plugs, airbox, etc and letting things dry out a bit, it fired up just fine. The radio in the car isn't working though, and of course the whole interior is pretty soaked.

Long story short, the weather actually was an issue.

Sorry to hear that Kevin. Is it bad enough to make an insurance claim? If the interior is super wet, they may total the car.

We didn't have electricity for 12 hours today. But everything is back to normal now.

Nah, I wouldn't say it's bad enough to make an insurance claim. The back right floorboard is pretty wet, but the rest of the interior is more wet from getting in and out of the car in the pouring rain than it is from actually sitting in the water. I think it just needs some shop-vac treatment, and the radio needs looking at or possibly replacing. I'm going to watch it closely for the next week or two, and borrow my friend's compression tester to check all of that out... but like I said, it ran perfectly fine once I had the chance to look at it.

I think (hope) it'll be just fine, as I really wasn't planning to buy another car just yet.

My parking lot was flooded. 2 to 3 feet to be exact. Some guys mustang and accord had water reaching his windows. kinda sucked being trapped in my studio apartment, although my car was dry.

My street was flooded pretty bad. I couldn't even pull my S out of my driveway. So she stayed nice and dry in her garage yesterday.

I ended up driving the pathfinder yesterday. Princess Anne was jacked up. I drove by 4 or 5 abandoned/flooded cars. Cleveland St was flooded so badly, at one point I felt the front end of the pathfinder start to float . In some areas, flooding was horrible, in others it wasn't so bad.

I'm good. No flooding problems here in my neighborhood. Nonetheless, I just chilled @ home all day till I went out to an ODU party around 9
