So me being the cheap ass i am, i decided to try and splice my VAFC into the harness. My friend (who is an ASE certified teck) tried this small task on our own and things seemed to be going smoothly. All the wires were found and put together according to the manual, and set all the setting to the appropriate settings ( h>l h<l and all that good stuff). we started it up and it seemed fine but the CEL was on. rechecked everything and tried to reset the ECU but to no avail. we give up and decide to leave it at the shop to get it tuned but before i make it out of the street the car starts bucking horribly. i turn it around and push the car (by myself) about half a mile and of course i didnt have my phone to call for help. I get it back to my friend's house and we decide to just go back at it later on this week. Uninstall the unit and reconnect all the wires as if it were stock.



Moral of the story, Dont be a cheap ass. Buy a plug in play harness if you are gonna go VAFC.
