Default We should plan some Spring events (or something!)

I was just looking over some of SteveUCI's incredible S2k (and related) videos:

http://128.200.136.106/steveuci/videos.html

Those guys are having all the fun!! Doing ovenights to Arizona, going to tracks (Willow Springs), and being downright rowdy. Of course, being on the West/Left Coast permits all sorts of year-round craziness; we don't have that luxury in the Mid-Atlantic. Nevertheless, I found myself getting a little jealous that they were having all the fun. This feeling was magnified by the fact (and this is really hard to believe !) that many of you are actually cool to hang out with in person!! I can't say the same of myself, I know....

Fall Colors was insane, and its my bad for not joining you all at FATT on 11/16, but I still think there's a lot this area has to offer.

1) MIR on Friday nights
2) Organized FATT events (or an S2K only FATT event?)
3) Really cool drives/locations in MD (beach, mountains, etc.), VA, PA, and WVA.
4) Washington DC Grand Prix next year

There are two things we can do:
1) Plan some stuff on our own (that's tough and time consuming)
2) Hitch onto some other groups that are planning stuff.
3) Make S2kCA do some stuff on this (I need to join ASAP)

Don't know which approach is best, but Gregg & I have had great luck with the folks/events at Sports Car Club Touring Day.

You'll see some events coming up soon soon too. Perhaps I'm just venting, but it seems like there are enough of us around here to do some cool stuff (like look at Moonpie's glass window ) I'm not suggesting we hire a full time event planner and I know we're all busy at work (), but maybe if we put our heads together.....

Perhaps I'm just venting
Have a good Turkey Day

I'm lame - I know it, I'm replying to my own post. Are any of you planning on going on that Outer Banks Coastal Run? That looks REALLY cool. It is quite beautiful down there:

Perhaps some of us can caravan? I will definitely consider going and it is far enough in the future to plan around.

I'd be up for trying to figure out one weekend a month (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) when we regularly schedule something and trade off who organizes it.

I'm thinking about the outer banks run.

They want to limit the OB run to 30 cars - I think they have 20+ signed up already. I'm trying to appeal to their sense of community that bigger is better. Hopefully, we can get a group of us to go down there. My wife and I are aching to go back, it is beautiful - I would love to bring the car there too.....

I am going, along with AgS2K who lives practically down the street from me. It's going to be great!!

Yes, if you guys are interested you need to contact Raul (airgate) ASAP as he is closing this event off at 30 cars due to the ferry capacity max of 30 cars............................unless you convince him otherwise Two ferries of S2000s --->

Hope you guys can join us!

I definitely want to get together and meet again with you guys. Once a week might be a little too much, but I'll try I'm pretty much up for anything!

Sounds cool - count me in, but we need something a little sooner

I'd like to do the OBX run, but it's full. I noticed you got in on it Hiro
