Default What's that sound

When the wheels are turning, there is a heavy clicking sound, and heavy resistance. Prob not the tranny since it does it in neutral.

Getting towed home now, but any idea what it might be? U joint maybe? Anybody down to help with some emergency repairs?

Sounds like the spindle nut is your problem, relatively common issue on the AP1:

That or a wheel bearing that is about to give out...

I agree. Had the same thing happen on my old AP1. Ended up being a loose spindle nut, that caused some serious damage to the bearing and hub.

Wheel bearing, diff, or axle nut... not too many options that it could be.

I will have a diff for sale soon. Not stock though.

I'd like to get it over there so u can take a look at it. Know a tow guy? Also, can you know what worst case might be for all as far as price is concerned?

***update*** it's completely ####ed. Putting this thing in gear and trying to move it sounds like someone popping popcorn with steel seeds. Gomna need a diff most asap. Oem or aftermarket... Any recommendations?

Are you sure its not a wheel bearing?

That was what was wrong with WillyWills car last year. He thought it was the diff, and was just a bad bearing. If you can get it towed to my shop, I can have a look at it. Do you have AAA?
