Default Where are big empty parking lots?

well...Everytime I pass shopping centers, industrial areas, I'm tying to find empty (at night) parking lots big enough for skid pad... BUT I can't find any..(lots of ppl even at night, police often passing by, ground not smooth, lots of poles, no Walmart in Mont. Co....)

Does anyone know nice places in Montgomery County?
thx~

Or if anyone knows of any really big, unpatrolled parking lots near Reston, even if they are uneven ground or have poles, I'd be interested. I'm trying to figure out where to teach my gf to drive stick. She refuses to just try it on a road.

Fortunately my GF, now wife, already knew how to drive stick when I met her.

If I were you I'd considering paying someone to teach the GF.

Jeremy, i saw someone practicing last weekend at Centreville HS as i drove by. looks like they have a decent sized lot, and the school grounds are far enough away from homes that i don't think you'll be bothering anyone.

since you're not doing any drifting or crazy driving in the parking lot.... you can pick any parking lot at night to teach her.... if cops stop by just tell them the truth that you're teaching her how to drive stick and they'll be fine with it......

as for the other guy asking for a big parking lot to do some crazy driving.... i suggest you find an industrial park or something and find a parking lot around there, you want to stay away from shopping centers (usually near main roads, and cops drive by or chill in the parking lots)

What you are looking for is called an "autoX". What you are asking about will lead to "reckless driving ticket".

I be posting info about a local autoX being held in 2 weeks. Look for the post. There are usually a few people from s2ki competing so you can also get some ride alongs if you want.
