Default Where to get gears installed

Hey mid-A!

I was wondering if anyone knew of a reputable shop in the NOVA area who could install a set of gears. Or even in the Virginia Beach area, as my parents live down there and I could go visit them for a weekend. I'm thinking about purchasing a set of 4.57s. Any help is appreciated!

On another note, once work begins to slow down and it starts to warm up outside, I'd like to get out and meet some of you guys and go on some drives. The only other person I know with an s2k is ice7, since we went to school together. Anyway, take it easy everyone!

You can hit up InlinePRO in Springfield. I had all my work on my civic done through them and had a very positive experience (quality and customer service) the whole time.

They also have experience with S2Ks, and I personally will be taking my car to them for pretty much everything engine, drivetrain, and maybe even suspension related...

Wherever you go, you need to make sure that they specialize in transmission work. If the gears are not installed right, it will end up costing you more money than you can imagine (new transmission, differential, etc). For me, it was worth the time to have hardtopguy (Rick's installer) do the job.

Send the diff and gears to Profpin. I am sending my diff out to him probably next week. He lives in Chicago area and has done many people on the boards gear installs. He charges $150 for the install. Im gonna have paid for gears, the install, the install kit. and shipping to and from him for less than $500.

Ryan

P.S. I got a killer deal on some 4.77s. Thats why its so cheap.

I know a few people who have had a LOT of problems with Currys. Beware.

Thanks for the suggestions and warnings. Anyone have more experience with Evolution or Inline? I'll probably give them a call to see if they have any experience with installing gears.

I'd rather take out the pumpkin and have it shipped out for work. Any idea how difficult this is and what is required (estimated time and tools)? Thats probably my safest bet.

Thanks again
