FF2Skip's Driveway.
Go there... if you can master driving up and down that without rolling back, you're golden and ready for an S2000.
If not... BMW offers the Z4 in an Automatic. I can sell you one cheap too

I swear that's the steepest driveway I've seen outside of San Fran
The S2000 was my first manual car, and I had only minimal experience driving stick before that. I recommend finding a friend or family with a nice easy car like an Civic or something and practice with that. Once you understand the mechanics of it all, its pretty easy to jump in an S2000 and not destroy the car.
I taught my daughter in my S in the parking lots of shopping centers. Once she had the gear changing/clutch thing down, I took her into cemeteries where I felt if she lurched forward she wouldn't kill anyone.
I did that while I knew I had full warranty in case she ripped out a transmission or clutch. She's never driven my new one, nor will she ever unless I'm dead.

Or just do what I did... Buy the S and figure it out on the way home.

1. Look into your cell phone address book.
2. Find the buddy that has the ugliest manual car.
3. Convince him the McDonald's dinner offer is a great deal.
4. Learn to drive stick on $5.23.

That $5.23 McDonald's dinner sounds like a steal on your end.

To the OP- I will teach you. Here's what you should do:
(1) Find the S2000 you want
(2) Buy it
(3) Call me and I will drive it off the lot for you
(4) You learn in an empty lot
I'm free most weekends.

I learned in my dad's S...
He pulled over on the side of a steep uphill in the highway and told me to switch seats. One stall due to the E-brake still being on (I didn't ever use mine in my car at the time), and I was good to go after that. Didn't roll back or anything. Since then it's been smooth flying
I was surprised how easy it was to learn on an S. It has a better feel than just about any other stick I've driven, as long as you shift precisely.
