Arrow white smoke

so as class lets out to night i walk to my car in the rain. hop in and start it up. all is well then i got to pull onto thomas run and my car stalls out. when i start it back up a huge cloud of white smoke shoots out. as i drive down the road is is slowly starting to run better. but when i get on it it suptters but i kinda stayed on the gas and it finaly hit vtec. o btw i did wait for it to warm up before i went into vtec. but after it hit vtec it seemed to run normal after that. can any give me a idea of what that was????

hmm...white smoke is usually indicative of coolant mixing with your oil. However, I haven't seen many FC20's have this problem...

Actually, coolant in the combustion chamber leads to white smoke. Coolant in the oil leads to rod knock.

Where is your intake filter at? You might have got lucky and just had a small amount of water go though the engine.

That was my first thought...

If you have a CAI and you don't have that one hole plugged up some water might have gotten on the filter...

if your car is running fine now, i wouldn't worry about it. little water does not harm anything

That was a Heck of a storm last night. Do you have a stock airbox or a cold air intake? No doubt that white smoke = water (coolant).

Blue = oil
Black = fuel (too rich)
